Local, Independent Pharmacists Respond to $4 Generic Craze

[Overland Park, Kansas] -- Independent pharmacists are pioneering a new option for the uninsured and underinsured to help them reduce the cost of all their prescription drugs, not just select generics. The program, PromiseRx – Complete is different from $4 or $5 generic plans offered by major chains because Promise Rx – Complete has more generic medications available for $4 and offers discounts on brand-name medications. The program works like this:

1. Plan participants pay only $4 for a 30-day supply of hundreds of generic products (in commonly prescribed dosages).
   
   
2. Plan participants also receive discounts on brand drugs and generics not on the $4 list. Participating pharmacies will offer the discounted price or their usual and customary; whichever is less.
